Gratitude & Growth in 2024

As I reflect on the past year, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude and pride for the incredible growth and impact of B the Light. Being trusted to lead this organization by our strong and resilient founder, Amber, is both an honor and a privilege, and I remain humbled by the unwavering support of our passionate communities. The work being done in Southern Minnesota to create a safe, supportive space for women on their breast cancer journey and into survivorship continues to inspire me every day.

Our mission has been embraced wholeheartedly by individuals and businesses alike, demonstrating the power of compassion and collaboration. Together, we are providing the tools, resources, and connections that empower survivors to navigate their path with strength and hope.

Thank you for being a vital part of this journey—your generosity and dedication make all of this possible.

2024 Holiday Hope Handbags and some of the beautiful recipents (below).

This holiday season, the impact of generosity shined brighter than ever. 64 Holiday Hope Handbags were hand-delivered to breast cancer survivors in the Mankato, New Ulm, and surrounding areas. These handbags, valued at over $550 each, included an array of thoughtful items such as grocery and gas gift cards, co-op vouchers, clean cosmetic gifts, personal wellness funds, B the Light merchandise, and other tools for self-care and support.

The holiday season is a meaningful time to reflect on the importance of giving, and your kindness has made a direct and lasting difference in the lives of local survivors. A simple gesture can bring immense comfort and joy, especially during challenging times. Thank you for being the light for those who need it most.

Our Impact in 2024

This year, we’ve seen a significant increase in participation across all our programs, a testament to the growing impact of B the Light in Southern Minnesota. Through strengthened outreach and a commitment to supporting women in our communities, we are connecting with survivors earlier in their diagnosis, offering vital resources and hope when it’s needed most.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to expand our reach throughout several communities in Minnesota, and empower more women on their journey to healing and wellness. These connections remind us of the importance of our mission and the collective power of community in illuminating hope.

B the Light - 2025

As we look ahead to 2025, B the Light remains steadfast in our mission to support and empower women through their breast cancer journey. We will continue strengthening relationships within our surrounding communities, spreading awareness about our mission, and ensuring that every survivor knows they are not alone.

Our cornerstone programs—Cooking Beyond Cancer, Survival Fitness, ReLight Retreats, and Hope Huddles—will remain a priority as we provide survivors with the tools, resources, and connections they need to thrive in their survivorship.

In addition, we aim to expand our outreach to reach even more women earlier in their diagnosis, fostering hope and resilience from the very start. We are excited to explore new opportunities for collaboration and innovation, ensuring our offerings evolve to meet the unique needs of the women we serve.

With your continued support, we will make 2025 a year of growth, empowerment, and light.

Thank you so much for your continued support!
