Walk a Mile in Their Shoes - A Big Thank You! 💗

Despite a rainy summer day, the Walk a Mile In Their Shoes grand finale was a success. With 23 local corporate sponsors, and approximately 150 participants, we were able to raise over $23,000 in eight days. We are very grateful for the outpouring of support!

B the Light is a 501(c)3, started in 2016 by Amber Melby of New Ulm MN. As a breast cancer survivor herself, Amber founded this organization stemming from her journey and in honor of Brenda Plinke, or Aunt “B” as she was known to family and friends. Aunt B battled metastatic breast cancer for 18 years before she passed away in 2018 at the age of 58. She lived

by the motto “Never Give Up Hope” and inspired all who knew her. B the Light seeks to honor Aunt B’s legacy by connecting survivors during or after treatment. Their motto is “Offering HOPE to breast cancer survivors, one connection at a time.”
