Reflecting on 2020 and Introducing "HOPE Handbags!"

While HOPE Getaways are on hold, B the Light wants to continue our mission of shining light on breast cancer survivors during their journey.

​We are creating “HOPE handbags” and would love your ideas on what to put in them! We will have one option for local families (New Ulm/Sleepy eye), and one for families in other parts of Minnesota and Iowa!

Despite the challenges of 2020, we are so grateful for the community support!! With your help, we have been able to:

•Grant 4 HOPE Getaways to breast cancer survivors and their families.
•Give away 17 HOPE Handbags to local survivors.
•Donate to the Brown County Food Shelf.
•Give flowers to chemo patients and nurses at the New Ulm Medical Center.
• Pay for t-shirts for the Sleepy Eye Medical Center nurses.
•Give over $1,000 in donations to survivors in need that were nominated.
•Pay for lymphedema equipment not covered by insurance.
•Donate to “Pledge A Meal” to help local restaurants and families during Covid.
