What can we do together in 8 days?

In 2020 we made the tough decision to postpone our 2nd annual gala fundraiser until people were able to gather again. From that decision, we developed a new fundraiser. Despite the odds, “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” fundraiser was a wild success!
With your help, through our Walk a Mile initiative, we raised an amazing $50,000+ to support local breast cancer survivors and their families.
Over the last two years, we have been hard at work building our network of survivors and programs and have granted four HOPE Getaways to families from Minnesota in 2020. Despite the challenges of this past year, we are so grateful for the community’s support!! With your help, we have also been able to:

• Give away 17 HOPE Handbags to local survivors, valued at over $500 each
• Donate to the Brown County Food Shelf.
• Give flowers to chemo patients and nurses at the New Ulm Medical Center.
• Pay for Nurses Week t-shirts for the Sleepy Eye Medical Center nurses.
• Give over $1,000 in donations to survivors in need that were nominated.
• Pay for a survivor’s lymphedema equipment not covered by insurance.
• Institute our new ReLight Retreat offering. This is an event centered around building support and offering
insight to survivors to help them ReLight the emotional spark often lost through a cancer journey.
• Donate to “Pledge A Meal” to help local restaurants and families during Covid.
• Sponsored Survival Fitness – A program designed to support breast cancer survivors while also allowing
them to recondition and revitalize much of the physical strength lost through treating cancer.

Today, we are asking for your support so we can continue helping local breast cancer survivors! We will be hosting our 2nd annual “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” fundraiser! Individuals or teams can pick an activity (walking, running, biking, Crossfit, yoga, for example) and set a goal!
From August 1st through the 8th, {representing 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime}, participants will push to achieve their goal, while collecting donations from friends and family.
We look forward to partnering with you to shine light on women and families affected by a breast cancer diagnosis by becoming an event sponsor, auction donor, or donor. and/or participating!

We are grateful for your support!
